Anchorage to Lake Illiamna
Lake Illiamna to Mulchatna
Here’s our 2026 sessions.
Our guests make a selection out of these weeks to fly out to camp.
Once arriving in Anchorage. Guests will be welcomed with lodging in Anchorage to relax for the day and take a flight the next morning out to Lake Illiamna.
You’ll fly over beautiful snow capped mountain ranges which stem through Lake Clark National Park. In Lake Illiamna, you & your luggage will then be escorted to a float plane in Pike Lake where you will then fly over the great Alaskan tundras to the Mulchatna River.
You’ll be met by your guides on the river, they will transport all guests and their gear to the camp by boats and start fishing that day.
Where are we located?
Bringing Fresh Catch Back Home
Alaska Trophy Fishing Safaris will clean, vacuum seal and freeze your catch for you. On the day you depart, we will provide you a 48-quart cooler filled with your frozen catch. We will pack the coolers to weigh no more than 50 lbs so you will not incur extra costs on your flight from Anchorage back home.
Camp Chef
There will be a camp chef who will cook breakfasts and dinners every day while you relax and enjoy the scenery and conversations.
Fishing Gear
We provide flyrod/reels, regular rodreels (both ultralights and king rods) with fresh mono & braided line so you can land the big ones.
Our guides will carry for you a full arsenal of lures, leaders, bobbers, flies etc to make sure you have everything available to you in the boat. Please feel free to bring your own personal gear as well if you would like.
River Lunch
For lunch, guides will cook your morning catch on an open fire- on the river bank, as you keep fishing or relax with your preferred drinks.
Exploration & Wildlife
You and your expert guide have access to the entire river system. Explore old abandoned gold mining cabins, abandoned cabins, caribou camps. Search for moose & caribou sheds. View moose, bald eagles, ospreys, beavers, & brown bears.
